TODAY my mother Dr. Shirley Weber was confirmed to serve as California’s next Secretary of State. My campaign has officially begun.
Congratulations to my mother, who will be serving as the first African American woman Secretary of State of our great state of California. It is with deep honor and purpose that I undertake this campaign to serve in her Assembly seat.
As I shared, this election will be around the corner, in early April. This means I need to gather together the resources NOW to run.

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our focus must be on the health and safety of all Californians. As a medical doctor our COVID-19 response is of utmost personal importance to me. I have worked my entire health career to close the healthcare gap in our community. Nothing is more critical than this at this time, as the pandemic has made these disparities even wider.
I will take nothing for granted and work very hard every day, but I need your help to get a seat at the table.
